"Art for me was the beginning. The initial spark out of which my infinite set of childhood curiosities began to unfold. The non-verbal language that taught me so many histories of the world – of thought, religion, of our many flaws and perceived virtues, the unpredictability of nature, of character, and finally, the history of dress and fashion."

Fashion Professor & Independent Curator

Marta Meyerhans

meet THE FOUNDER

My formal education in art history, from opening the big books of Renaissance art at an early age with my Italian tutor to discovering the love for so many artists by during my college years, is the fundamental tool through which I understand fashion. And while I have focused on fashion in the later part of my career as a lecturer, curator and collector, it is in the many intersections between the fields of art and fashion that I find the most beautiful and inspiring stories.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Marta lived Switzerland, New York and London before settling in Miami. She is a fashion curator and collector, and experienced professor of fashion and art. Marta has taught a wide range of courses including fashion history, trend forecasting, art history, and contemporary fashion. She holds a B.A. in Art History, an MBA from the London Business School and a Master's Degree in Fashion Brand Management from Istituto Marangoni. She advises private fashion collectors on acquisitions and curates independent fashion exhibitions.
